5 The Most Important Rules of Integration to Swiss Society!

Integration is an integral part of your new life. Here are some tips to integrate into a new society!
1- Learning a new language:  Number one rule of integration. At least 1 person in the family should be able to speak the language of the host country. There are plenty of opportunities in Switzerland to learn a foreign language.

2- Join local activities: Babyshower, birthday, funeral, festivals, parades are just some examples

3- Neighborhood relations: An integral part of networking. May result in surprising job interview arrangements in Switzerland. But before make sure you learn the neighborhood rules!

4- Learning cultural behaviours: Going to the market with a nonplastic bag, learning when to say hi to people

5- Attend a further education program: There are plenty of university or certificate programs in Switzerland. These are great ways to find friends and build your network.

6- Build your own network: It may be good to make some friends from your own country, from other cultures and Swiss nationals. The best is to create a nice basket of network and keep meeting new people as network open all the doors. It may be a little bit challenging to make Swiss friends, but once you build the trust and keep trying you will make some.
